In 1996, PhoneTel Communications, Incorporated was established to further Dr. Hashimotos vision and accomplishments.
The company now owns approximately 200 patentsmany the result of Dr. Hashimotos work on the telephone answering machine. All of the companys intellectual property is tightly connected to communications systems, with fundamental patents in: fax switching, fax-on-demand, paging notification, caller ID, voice messaging, cordless phones, video reservation systems, and other applications.
PhoneTel Communications is committed to fostering the development of new communications technology. Thus, the primary objective is to grant licenses for the use of an extensive portfolio of patents granted to Dr. Hashimoto.
